Storefront: Display variants that's in stock first + Admin setting

Customer want’s a M:AI admin setting where:
As default, display the product-variant that’s In stock as the selected variant in storefront. Not the first variant (unless the first variant is in stock).

This of course only applies if NO filters are selected. Because if I filter in Storefront, then it must select the color/size etc or whatever I filter on.
