Currently, the M:AI platform consistently mirrors the data exactly as it is stored in WooCommerce (or Shopify). However, many WooCommerce themes do not accommodate variants, resulting in the display of only a SINGLE variant instead of ALL available options. These themes automatically select the variant with the lowest price, as they can only show one variant at a time. Implement an ON/OFF toggle in the M:AI admin panel to ensure that the cheapest variant is always set as the default option.

Setting to empty the search bar after leaving it

Studies indicate that recalling a visitor's previous search enhances sales and reduces frustration for the user. Nevertheless, a few of our e-tailers prefer to clear the search results with each new query. Implement an ON/OFF toggle in the M:AI admin to accommodate this customer preference.

Attributes: Make them searchable

In WooCommerce, attributes are similar to Metafields found in Shopify. Attributes can currently function as product filters in M:AI Search - which is great! Now, we also want to extend that functionality and enable attributes in WooCommerce to be searchable in M:AI Search as well.

Hide products without any product images

Some e-tailers have a significant number of products lacking any product images, displaying “No image available.” These products are visible in both the Search results and the Top bar - and it does not look good for the website visitors. Develop a feature that hide products until they are have a product image.

Metafields: Make them searchable

Today metafields in Shopify can easily be made into filters. Extend the metafield filters and make them searchable as well. Today, a search for a metafield-value in M:AI search engine does not understand/take metafields into account. Just displaying an empty result.

SKU: Selectable from Attributes (WooCommerce) or Metafields (Shopify)

SKU refers to the article number or ArtNo. It is important to have the option to utilize a different field for SKU instead of just “SKU.” Some e-tailers can not, or will not, utilize the standard “SKU” field, and M:AI Search only verifies that specific field. We propose a feature to select a metafield or attribute as the SKU field instead.

Be able to hide collections/categories - black list

Occasionally, customers have numerous “junk” categories, or at the very least, categories they prefer not to show publicly while still wanting to retain them. For example, the “Black week” category may be in preparation for the event, and e-tailer might not want it visible in M:AI Search until they are fully prepared. The same applies to “Uncategorized” and similar categories.

Higher relevance: Optimize search hits

By integrating two distinct search engines—Textual and Semantic search (NLP) engines—we can fine-tune every parameter and try to achieve perfection. “Perfection” is not truly possible in any search engine since it’s so complex and varied, but we can come close. Currently, a significant undertaking involves mapping and enhancing each parameter to ensure maximum relevance, particularly for extensive product collections containing thousands of items.
